Say Goodbye to Porn at Work
Those of you who enjoy the secret delights of the internet at work better watch your backs. Better yet, save those secret pleasures for at home veiwing. If you're unsure of what I'm talkig about, look around your cubicle - you're bound to find someone somewhere. Anyway, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that employees have no legal expectation of privacy on computer machines at work.

According to judge Diarmuid O'Scannlain, "social norms suggest that employees are not entitled to privacy in the use of workplace computers, which belong to their employers and pose significant dangers in terms of diminished productivity." O'Scannlain's ruling was a defeat for Montana natie Jeffrey Ziegler, who had argued the government violated his Fourth Amendment rights when they seized the porn stash from his office hard drive without a warrant.
