Security Cameras Capture Purse-Snatching Suspects in Broward 9/10/05
Detectives from the Broward Sheriff's Office are hoping surveillance photos will lead to the identity of three suspects who were caught by bank drive-thru security cameras as they cashed stolen checks, belonging to as many as two purse snatching victims.

Here is what BSO Public Information Officer Elizabeth Calzadilla-Fiallo says happened on Sunday, June 26th, when 33-year-old Jacqueline Drummond's purse was violently snatched off of her shoulder by the passenger of a blue late model four-door Buick with dark tinted windows:

Drummond had just exited the Wal-Mart store at 7300 West McNab Road in North Lauderdale when she was targeted while walking toward her car. BSO deputies were immediately dispatched to the area, but were unable to locate the suspect's vehicle. Drummond was not injured.

The following day, drive-thru teller surveillance cameras at two separate Washington Mutual bank branches, one in North Lauderdale, the other in Coral Springs, photographed a man and a woman in a maroon 2005 Dodge Durango. The couple cashed two checks belonging to a "Gloria Gonzalez," possibly yet another victim, in Drummond's name using Drummond's stolen identification. Each check was written out for $1,700.

On Tuesday, June 28th, surveillance cameras at the same North Lauderdale Washington Mutual drive-thru teller photographed the same unidentified female suspect in the passenger seat of the same Dodge Durango. However, on this day, she was in the company of another man. The duo attempted to cash one of Drummond's stolen checks in the amount of $2,000, but a suspicious teller thwarted their efforts and they fled.

The suspects are described as two black males and a black female. All appear to be in their 30s and were last seen in a 2005 maroon Dodge Durango.
